SCULPTURE I

 Develop your understanding of basic sculpting methods as you work in the studio with traditional and not-so-traditional materials. Your instructor will challenge you to think and work creatively to create three-dimensional forms, as you practice additive and subtractive techniques, and strengthen your skills in construction. RESIN POURING   

Resin is so versatile and easy to use. Your instructor will show you how to mix, add colours, and small objects to it. Learn how to brush resin on paper and fabric and pour it into molds and bezel settings. Experiment with it, have fun, and gain the skills to move forward, and continue creating and experimenting with confidence. Please see your course supply list online. GOLD LEAF

You can have the Midas touch! Take an old picture frame or some other small object, and give it new life with gold leaf! Learn how to properly apply gold leaf and seal it so it’s permanent, through step-by-step demonstrations and instruction. Please see your course supply list online. MOLD MAKING  Learn how to create multiples with a plaster mold and how to incorporate them into sculptural work. This introduction to mold making will teach you concepts that translate into other areas of 3-D art making. Through in class demonstrations and hands on work discover the nuances of good mold design and good practice techniques. You will create a relief mold, a one part, and a two part plaster mold. Examples of what you can do with mold making will be shown and discussed in class. Please see your course supply list online.
