Natural Icon Designs

Nature abounds with every day treasures! At Natural Icon Designs I make well made, handmade jewellery with a focus on semi precious gemstones, bone, amber, wood and freshwater pearls. I enjoy and take pride in creating every piece myself. Unless otherwise noted all pieces are one of a kind.

If you are interested in making your own treasures, I offer jewellery making classes taught in Calgary, including bead stringing, wire wrapping, making earrings, bracelets and necklaces. My fully equipped studio has a relaxed atmosphere with a low student to teacher ratio and classes are affordable with no pressure to over spend.

You will not only have fabulous accessories, but also enhanced confidence, self esteem, and the fun and joy of creativity!

Unlike classes at bead shops, you may bring beads you already have to a class. Supplies for one project are included in the price of the class so you don’t have to worry about keeping track of each bead that you are buying so the focus is totally on learning and designing.

String Theory Short Necklace - Peach Moonstone Amazonite & Peach Aventurine

88.00

Calm blue Amazonite is complimentary to both the Peach Moonstone and Peach Aventurine in this short and sweet necklace. Amazonite is known for it's soothing, blue-green colour. It has a tranquil, calm quality about it. Peach moonstone is also a mellow and relaxed colour. Moonstone is supposed to be the "stone of new beginnings" among many other attributes. Peach Aventurine is a little more electric and is said to amplify your creative energies. This necklace measures 17 inches and has a secure lobster claw clasp.

The "String Theory" style of necklace is made of beads strung on beading wire as well as chain on either side. I prefer chain on the sides as opposed to beads for a variety of reasons. I think it sits better on the shoulders that way, it is adjustable if a different chain or length is required. It's lighter and with three sections if one breaks it's easier to repair than one long beaded necklace on one long wire. That's the theory behind the style :)
